Road Warrior
Driving down this highway, diesel flowing through my veins Burning up the asphalt through the hot & dusty planes My peddles eating metal & my wheels a ring of fire My rubber tires whining like old women in a choir. I'm a road warrior, keep moving all the time, living on the edge of a dotted yellow line. I'm a road warrior & I can't deny, I just want to see life from the other side. Hours pass so quickly, as minutes lose their time Running for a touchdown, with every exit sign But the game is far from over, and we're into overtime I'm shifting into overdrive & roaring like a lion. CHORUS The law says 65, but I'm pushing 90 I'll keep flying by, as long as they don't find me When this old world locks me in, this highway is my key An open road is freedom for a warrior like me. CHORUSI wrote this song while stuck in traffic near the Indianapolis Speedway!
